Welcome!
My name is Susan Griffiths.
I am a cake decorator, demonstrator and tutor. I have been
in the cake and sugarcraft industry for over 20 years, during
which time I have gone from decorating cakes, to writing magazine
articles and becoming an author.
In
1996 my involvement with Squires
Kitchen began and I embarked on writing articles for their
magazine. I developed a close relationship with Squires Kitchen,
who continue to support me to this day. I adore being the Saturday
manager at their well stocked sugarcraft shop in Farnham and
frequently teach classes at their International School of Cake
Decorating. My first book, ‘Making
Sugar Teddy Bears’, (published by b.dutton Publishing
Ltd), was produced in 2003. The book was aimed at all skill
levels and has been very successful. This was later followed
in 2005 by my second book, ‘Making
Sugar Cats for Cakes’. |
Sugarcraft is a true passion for me and I greatly enjoy sharing
my ideas and talents with other people. Having demonstrated,
decorated and written about sugarcraft for so long, I have
now channelled my interest towards tuition. I specialise in
tuition on Wedding Cakes, Miniature Wedding Cakes and cookies,
Modelling in sugar, marzipan and chocolate and sugar flowers.
Through one to one tuition, (or groups of up to four people),
I hope to inspire others, as I have been inspired. All tuition
takes place in the friendly relaxed atmosphere of my home.
Although I specialise in certain subjects, requests for any
form of sugarcraft tuition will be considered.
